Rainy Day Hikes

Where do you go when the weather turns bad and you want to go on a hike?  The WTA has some ideas for us.  Among the ideas are Wallace Falls and Goat Lake which are both great hikes.  Our last rainy day hike to Boulder River turned out in disaster so hopefully you will have better luck with some of WTA's suggestions.

Unfortunately in Washington, we have more rainy days than sunny ones so if you want to hike year-round, you have to be prepared for some yucky weather.

Do you hike when it's rainy?  What extra items do you bring to prepare for the weather?

  1. I rarely hike on rainy days but I got me a special rain coat and boots for that. I've only used it once.

  2. I like to take photos while hiking--and I don't like to get my camera wet while out there--but I have been known to hike on rainy days with it anyway. Some of my best shots were taken in the rain.

    Cheers, Jenn.
