Riley is my 9-year old son. He will be giving his opinion of our hikes from a 9-year-old's perspective.
BRIDAL VEIL FALLS:
I liked this hike because there were very good views from up high and there were little streams going through the rocks as you got higher. There were a lot of stairs and it is very rocky and steep.
When you get to the top there is a giant waterfall. You can get really close to it and you get misted when you get close. You can go on rocks below the waterfall and you will have a better view of the running water from the waterfall.
There are also a lot of chipmunks.
DECEPTION FALLS:
The water there was completely clear and freezing. It had lots of rocks in it and if you wanted to cool down on a hot day you could go in the water. It had awesome scenery and a huge waterfall. There were really fast rapids too. The hike was pretty easy since it was only a 1/2 mile loop. There were many viewpoints over the falls that were really cool. On a scale from 1-10 (10 being the best) I would give it a 10! This is a great place to bring your friends!
