Everyone has a hike that they love above all others. If you were to ask my oldest son he would pick Bridal Veil Falls. He was so amazed when we reached the falls that he called down to me "you have to see this!"
My youngest son, on the other hand, loved Heather Lake. He marveled at the snow covered mountains in August and the lake full of frogs.
I would have to say that Goat Lake was my favorite hike. The distance was an accomplishment at 10.5 miles and the lake was beautiful. However, it is hard to pick just one. Each hike has its own amazing aspects.
What is your favorite hike? I would love to hear from other states as well. Maybe I can add your hike to my Hike 12 in 2012 challenge.
Happy Hiking!

ReplyDeleteHopefully reading your blog will inspire me to start running!! Any tips for a new runner who will be pushing a double jogging stroller?
Yes. Congrats on starting out on this journey! Start slow. Try the run/ walk method. Run 5min. walk 5min. then increase to run 10min. walk 5min. etc. until you phase out the walking. #1 advice pace yourself. If you start out too fast you will get frustrated. Good luck and keep me posted!
ReplyDeleteIt's hard for me to pick one but I really enjoyed the Lime Kiln, Old Robe Canyon, and Old Sauk trails.
ReplyDeleteI haven't done Old Robe or Old Sauk. I will have to put them on my list. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI have to agree with your oldest son, Bridal Veil Falls is one of my favorites! We've yet to explore the hiking in Ohio (mid-west) since moving from Cali. That is going to change next spring!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great challenge!
I love any place in the Grand Canyon. It has been a great place to hike. Especially along the Tonot Plateau first thing in the morning - what an amazing thing to watch the sun rise on the canyon when you are half way down!
ReplyDeleteThanks Amy. I dream of hiking the Grand Canyon! I hope to hike there for my 12 hikes in 2012 challenge.

My favorite hike was at the Dream Forest in Seoul, Korea. I'll have to keep up on your blog to find some great places here at home in the Pacific Northwest:)
